WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Students will have the opportunity to hear about the reimagined Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business and its new leader directly from the dean of the school. Jim Bullard, Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean, will respond to student questions at 1 p.m. on October 5.
The event will be livestreamed on the Daniels School Instagram (@purduebusiness) and will be moderated by Charlie Cook, a freshman from Australia majoring in Integrated Business and Engineering. Cook has spent the last several weeks collecting questions from fellow students.
Some will likely center on the Daniels School’s intentions to provide excellence at scale by increasing student enrollment and adding top scholars, providing students with more transformative experiential opportunities, and leveraging the connection between the school and the university’s prowess in engineering and technology. Others will attempt to learn more about the personal background of Purdue’s newest dean.
Before joining the Daniels School on August 15, Bullard spent the past 15 years as the president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He is considered one of the most influential economists in the world, and in addition to his duties as business school dean he will serve as a special advisor to President Mung Chiang.
