Rachel Hahn is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Management in the Daniels School of Business. Her research advances scholarship on uniquely female experiences and well-being in the workplace. Rachel is deeply curious about the collision between female physiology and work outcomes, and whether this collision energizes or diminishes employee work experiences. Rachel uses rigorous methodological practices for assessing the physiological effects of the menstrual cycle effects on female employees, such as using salivary hormone assays to measure the effect of estrogen and progesterone on leadership outcomes. Rachel’s research also explores the effect of organizational menstruation policies on female employees’ well-being and work performance. Her research questions develop a multidimensional understanding of menstruation at work that bridges physiology, identity, and policy.

Rachel teaches Introduction to Organizational Behavior (OBHR 33000) in the Daniels School of Business. Previously, Rachel ran the Team and Leadership Experience for Freshman in the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, taught Research Methods, Business Communication, and Public Speaking at University of Arizona and Pima Community College, and taught middle school and high school English in Illinois and Indiana. She thrives on creating an engaged, inclusive learning experience to support students as they navigate the internship and job search process.
