Mr. Brooks is a lecturer in business law. He is a partner in the Lafayette, Indiana, law firm of Mayfield and Brooks. In the community, he is a past member of the board of directors of the Downtown Business Center Inc., past president of City Parking Inc., a former member of the finance committee and counsel for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, counsel for the City of Lafayette Police Civil Service Commission, counsel for the West Lafayette Police Merit Commission and West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission, and counsel for the Tippecanoe County CASA program.
