I am honored to have been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholarship for fall 2024. My project involves collaboration with Szechenyi Istvan University in Hungary to strengthen business analytics and data science education. By teaching courses in statistics, business analytics, and research methodology, and through collaboration on applied quantitative and AI research, this project aims to equip students with essential skills for the data-driven economy.

The partnership will also foster research and knowledge exchange, enriching both institutions academically, practically, and culturally. Through the elevation of academic prowess and the advancement of research, this endeavor seeks to make a lasting imprint on the landscape of business analytics and data science education. Ultimately, our collective goal is to help promote the development of a skilled workforce, bolster economic prosperity, and catalyze global cooperation within the contours of the digital revolution.

The Fulbright Program, established in 1946 by Senator J. William Fulbright, is a prestigious international exchange initiative promoting mutual understanding and peace. It supports academic, cultural, and professional exchanges between the U.S. and more than 160 countries. Fulbright Scholars engage in teaching, research, and collaboration to address global challenges and contribute to knowledge, diplomacy, and cross-cultural cooperation. It remains a cornerstone of U.S. public diplomacy and global engagement.

Encouraging Purdue faculty to join the Fulbright Program is essential for both institutions. For Purdue, it enhances global impact, fosters research collaboration, and introduces diverse perspectives to the classroom. Faculty gain valuable international insights that enrich their teaching and research, benefiting students and colleagues alike.

For Fulbright, welcoming Purdue’s esteemed scholars adds prestige and expertise, especially in STEM-related fields, and helps drive its mission of cross-cultural exchange and academic excellence. This partnership promotes global understanding, innovative solutions, and leadership, benefiting both institutions and the broader international community.
