At the Mitch Daniels School of Business, we recognize that well-trained and dedicated human resource professionals can maximize the wellness of an organization’s employees to gain a sustainable advantage in an increasingly competitive world.
With that in mind, the 2024 Purdue HR Case Competition and Conference is partnering with the Center for Working Well to present the research from the inaugural Working Well Research Awards on November 8, 2024.
In line with this year’s theme, “From Pushback to Paws: Innovative Approaches to Employee Wellness,” the 2024 award winners will present research centered on helping organizations best support the work and nonwork lives of employees. These conversations will center on the challenges employees face both in crafting healthier relationships with work and work-life balance, as well as finding time outside of work to craft meaningful relationships.
Through these exchanges, idea generators will help build a conversation around novel working well policy-related challenges that organizations are currently facing, allowing for meaningful engagement between members of the Center for Working Well, HR partners, and student conference attendees.
The 14th annual case competition will be an opportunity for students to share creative solutions with business leaders from the companies that do HR best. It will feature both undergraduate and graduate competitions, with cash prizes awarded to the top two teams in each division, as well as the best speaker and the best Q&A responder. Case sponsors are dormkaba for the undergrad division and Eaton for the grad division.
The conference and case competition are the premier HR events hosted by an academic institution in Indiana. This year’s activities are expected to attract more than 100 participating students, faculty, and HR professionals from across the state. Registration for the conference closes November 1.
