The Purdue Center for Working Well (CWW) at the Mitch Daniels School of Business celebrates its first anniversary as a top university research center with an event in October, offered in-person on the West Lafayette campus and virtually.
The center’s core mission is to develop a robust understanding of what “working well” means to employees and organizations. Its roster of faculty associates come from the Daniels School and beyond, and their expertise is consistently sought out by media. Read Kate Zipay’s comments on “How To Write An Email Signature That Actually Promotes A Life Outside Work” in HuffPost; Ellen Ernst Kossek’s interview with The Washington Post for its article “Younger women are practicing radical pay transparency online;" and the CWW director's contribution to "How to master small talk at work," also in The Washington Post.
The center has its own research blog, and recently opened submissions for the 2024-2025 CWW Research Awards.
During “A Celebration of One Year of Working Well: Reflections and Looking Forward” at 2 p.m. Eastern on Friday, October 4, CWW Director Allison Gabriel will share the center’s origin story and its hopes for the future. She will also share her personal research journey centered on helping employees thrive at work and at home, with actionable insights and takeaways for attendees on how they can look for positive moments in their day-to-day lives that allow them to work well.
Registration for the in-person option closes September 30; a virtual option is available. Register here.
