Krannert’s MBA and MS Finance programs earn top 10 recognition in new WSJ/Times Higher Ed rankings

Two programs within the Purdue University Krannert School of Management were ranked in the top 10 globally in the first business school ranking by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and Times Higher Education (THE).

Along with the rankings, a new “bull market” analysis released to subscribers of THE shows that two-year MBA programs like those offered by the #9 ranked Krannert School of Management remain extremely strong, while shorter alternatives like Krannert’s #7 ranked Master’s in Finance (MSF) degree program also are gaining value.

According to the study’s partners, the WSJ/THE US College Rankings are designed to explore teaching excellence and the student experience based on metrics applied to “a unique set of performance data from business schools across the world.” 

A total of 114 business schools from 24 countries participated in the study, which compares two-year MBAs, one-year MBAs, and master’s in finance and management degrees. The methodology includes factors surrounding institutional resources, student engagement, teaching environment and student outcomes.

“It’s gratifying to see a top ten ranking from The Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education,” says David Hummels, dean of Purdue’s Krannert School. “A key factor is the big weight they put on the value added by a school, and the master’s programs offered at Krannert are among the best in the world.”
