Matthew Lanham, clinical assistant professor and academic director of the Business Analytics and Information Management master’s program (MSBAIM) at Purdue University’s Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business, has been elected to serve on the INFORMS Analytics Certification Board for a three-year term.
INFORMS, the largest professional association for the decision and data sciences with over 12,500 members, is owner of the field’s Certified Analytics Professional certification. This certification is a trusted, independent verification of the critical technical expertise and related soft skills possessed by accomplished analytics and data science professionals, and valued by analytics-oriented organizations.
In 2023, Lanham led the Daniel School’s MSBAIM program to become one of the few academic programs in the world to have 100% of its program graduates become Associate Certified Analytics Professionals (aCAPs) via a new aCAP Pathways Program. The Analytics Certification Board oversees the certification program and serves as both a standard setting and assessment body for professionals in the analytics field. The board is comprised of highly-regarded analytics and operations research professionals whose mission is to advance the analytics profession by providing a high-quality program of certification and promoting continuing competence for practitioners.
