Daniels School Finance Professor Named President-Elect of FMA

Mara Faccio has been selected president-elect of the Financial Management Association International, whose membership includes finance practitioners, academics and students who are interested in the techniques and advances which define the field of finance.

Professor Faccio is the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business Tom and Patty Hefner Chair in Finance. Her primary research interests are international finance and corporate finance. Faccio teaches International Financial Management and Managerial Finance.  

Faccio was recognized by researchers at the University of Oxford and University of Technology Sydney in 2022 as the No. 1 cited female scientist in academic finance. At last count, her Google Scholar citations were north of 27,000.

Her research has appeared in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, and Management Science, among other top journals.
