In her various roles in higher education, she has created educational and experiential opportunities to enrich student achievement. Throughout her time working in higher education, however, the one aspect Tricia has enjoyed most is advising students; helping them set and achieve goals, problem-solve and become more connected on campus. Tricia’s higher education experiences include serving as the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness at the University of Northern Colorado and as the Associate Director, Fitness and Wellness at Purdue RecWell. In these roles, she implemented programs designed to teach students self-care tactics to enhance their physical, social, intellectual and occupational well-being.

In addition to her higher education experience, Tricia was the Operations Manager for a Purdue-based, start-up company called NutraMaize. In this role, she was involved in the company’s marketing and social media, accounting, logistics, and supply-chain management initiatives. She has also worked in K-12 education, teaching small-group reading programs and English language activities for international students.

Tricia is originally from Mason, Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Michigan State University and Master of Public Administration at Grand Valley State University. In her free time, Tricia enjoys traveling, exercising, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and their two children.
