Education

M.A., Organizational Communication, Purdue University, 2016
B.A., Corporate Communication, Purdue University, 2013

Megan joined the Krannert Undergraduate Advising Team in November 2016. She says that the best part of her job is getting to collaborate with students as they strive for and reach their academic, career, and life goals during their time here at Purdue.

Prior to Krannert, Megan was an academic mentor for Purdue Athletics. Before her experience in athletics, she was a graduate instructor on campus in the Brian Lamb School of Communication. In this role, Megan was a nominee for multiple teaching awards at Purdue, including the BLSC Harlan and Kendall teaching awards as well as the Purdue Learning Communities Advocate award. She was also a research assistant for Purdue's Online MS in Communication program. In addition to her work with the BLSC, she was a part of the Combined TECH 120 Program evaluation and research team in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute.

As an Academic Advisor, Megan has also served as a Faculty Fellow for Meredith Hall and as an overload lecturer for EDPS 105. She has been a Co-Chair of the Purdue Academic Advising Association Research Committee and currently serves as the Vice Chair and Historian on the association's Steering Committee. Megan was also a part of the Krannert CareerBound Steering Committee and is a co-recipient of the 2019-2020 Purdue Learning Communities Real World Experience Award. In addition, Megan is the Lead Chapter Adviser for Purdue Phi Beta Lambda and is a recipient of the 2022 Indiana Phi Beta Lambda Chapter Adviser of the Year Award.

Megan is originally from California, Kentucky (a small town about an hour southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio), and has called Purdue and Greater Lafayette home since 2010. In her free time, Megan enjoys running, watching Chicago Bears games on TV, cheering on the Boilermakers at sports events, hiking, listening to jazz music and K-pop, weightlifting, playing video games, and spending time with her partner Jacob (a Purdue alumnus) and their "furchildren" Rocky and Tuxedo.
