Andrea Langrish, M.Ed. is an accomplished organizational leader and award-winning instructor and communication strategist. As an educator with a background in business, Andrea has built a career specializing in organizational leadership, program development, project management, public relations, marketing, event planning, curriculum development, strategic partnerships, and instructional technology integration. She developed grant-winning programs that focused on experiential learning and education technology and has received awards for her work in education, publicity and media.
Throughout her career, Andrea has directed multimillion-dollar projects, managed cross-functional teams, and developed impactful programs. She has cultivated relationships with Purdue alumni across the nation and created interdisciplinary partnerships and collaborations with internal and external partners.
She has enjoyed spending time with students and alumni in our nation’s capital, and hosting distinguished guests on campus including C-SPAN Founder and Purdue Alum Brian Lamb, Purdue President Mitch Daniels, Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer, author and historian Dr. Edna Medford Greene, award-winning author Stacey Schiff, and C-SPAN CEO Sam Feist.
Throughout her career she has volunteered for a variety of roles, most recently serving as a member of the Truman Scholar Advisory Committee and the Public Impact Fair Steering Committee. She has previously served as the advisor to the CCSE Student Community, competition judge for the Brian Lamb School of Communication’s Fraser Speaking Competition as well as the Public Relations Chair for the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, General de Lafayette Chapter.
Andrea is a two-time recipient of the Influential Educator Award from the Brian Lamb School of Communication, was awarded the Public Relations and Media award from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and has been nominated for Class of 1922 Outstanding Innovation in Helping Students Learn Award. She is proud to be a member of the Purdue Presidents Council, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Pi Lambda Theta, Alpha Chi Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
As the first female in her paternal line to graduate from college, Andrea strongly believes in the value of education and opportunities it can bring. During her time at Purdue, she has presented at the Political History Conference and the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education and has contributed to multiple publications.
She holds a Master of Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University.
