Chuck Ludwig is Managing Director of CHZ Technologies, a U.S. company marketing Thermolyzer™, a German-based technology, designed to convert waste materials to energy. The technology is designed to process carpet, plastic composites, electronic scrap, tires and other high-energy-based materials to electricity. He is Co-Managing Director of C&A Ludwig LLC, which was formed to help emerging entrepreneurs identify new business ventures and incorporate the essential tools to successfully start and grow young companies. Prior to these companies, Mr. Ludwig was one of the founders of Aetos Technologies, a private Auburn University-affiliated corporation formed to bridge the gap between university-based research and the commercial market. The successful companies formed under Aetos include CytoViva, Eagle Aquaculture, Coatings Technology Development and several others. Mr. Ludwig previously was President and CEO of Avistis, Cincinnati, OH; President of GIL Technologies, Collierville TN; and VP of Great Lakes Chemical, West Lafayette, IN. He began his career at General Electric’s Plastics Division in capacities including business team management, sales, marketing, process and product development. Mr. Ludwig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, coursework in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration degree, all from Purdue University. In addition to the School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council, Mr. Ludwig has served on Purdue advisory boards in the College of Science, College of Engineering, Discovery Park, and Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship.
