PCEE director Dave Perkis, assistant director Harlan Day, and Herschel, the feisty puppet dog who stars in the Herschel's World of Economics videos, participated in the September 27th Purdue Promise Event. The event was part of the Benton County Promise program in which students in grades K-3 are encouraged to start saving and planning for college. Students visited several learning stations and participated in fun activities designed to get them thinking about their future and get excited about college. At the PCEE station, students were entertained by a puppet show starring Herschel, and learned the many benefits of a Krannert education. Approximately 575 students attended the daylong event.
