Employers flock to Purdue for job fair
Thursday, February 9, 2012
The School of Management Employers Forum (SMEF) held its Undergraduate Fall Career Fair in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms. With well over 100 companies participating, the student-run event gave students the opportunity to meet a variety of potential employers.
Companies in attendance talked about the ability of Krannert students to analyze data and make decisions as a key reason for attending. Krannert has been ranked #7 by recruiters as a school that prepares students well for employment.
Students attending the fair had not only an opportunity to learn more about various companies, but also a chance to hone their presentation skills.
In addition to the career fair, dozens of companies made presentations to interested students, and hundreds of personal interviews were conducted. Resume critiques also were available to students looking for internships and full-time employment.
