The Mitch Daniels School of Business’ graduate program in Finance is proud to announce its official CFA Institute affiliation.
For Purdue MS Finance students, this affiliation strengthens the pathway toward the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) credential, regarded as the gold standard in finance and investment globally.
“I view this milestone not just as a badge of prestige, but as a concrete enhancement of our program’s value: academic quality, global credibility, and improved career readiness for our students,” says Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance Fabrício d’Almedia. “The recognition means our curriculum closely matches the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, including ethics, portfolio management, investment analysis, corporate finance and related core domains.”
Founded in 1947, the CFA Institute is a global nonprofit that sets ethical and professional standards for the investment management industry.
The institute partners with universities to “integrate ethics-based, real-world investment knowledge” into programs with the goal of developing principled professionals.
The CFA affiliation is an acknowledgement that the Daniels School’s MSF program aligns with the institute’s mission, standards and curriculum, d’Almeida says.
“For employers and industry partners, the affiliation signals that our graduates have received rigorous, professionally relevant training that combines theoretical foundations with ethical and practical investment-management frameworks,” he says. “We will work with faculty, students, alumni and partners to leverage this affiliation to further open doors for tomorrow’s finance professionals.”
