In anticipation of the launch of the new Mitch Daniels School of Business, the magazine was rebranded to the Purdue Business Journal in 2022. The Fall 2024 edition won multiple regional Addy Awards for its design, including the Gold for Digital Publications.
The publication was stragetically paused in 2026 in response to changing reader and audience habits.
In 2011, the Krannert Magazine became available in both print and web editions, with the same content presented across two different formats. Only the web editions from this era are currently archived online. We plan to scan the print editions we retain in our archives soon. Contact us if you are interested.
In Spring of 2020, due in part to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the print edition was retired. In its final two editions, the web edition was redesigned, with a digital front cover that paid homage to the original 1969 covers.

The Krannert Update and the Portfolio were merged into a single publication called the Krannert Portfolio in 1985, designed to communicate to all school alumni regardless of degree level. It was issued generally biannually.
The Winter 1990 edition featured a full color jacket for the first time, setting a new standard for future editions. The Krannert Portfolio grew in both quality and size across the decade, eventually reaching the standards of a professional level magazine.
In 1998, a "throwback" edition of the Krannert Update was issued as a supplemental piece.
