Justin Tobias is Loeb Professor of Economics at Purdue University. His research and teaching interests are in econometrics, specifically the theory and application of Bayesian econometric methods.
Professor Tobias is a Distinguished Author of the Journal of Applied Econometrics , fellow of the International Association of Applied Econometrics (IAAE) and past President of the Economics, Finance and Business section of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA). He has previously served as associate editor for a number of leading journals, including the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics and Journal of Applied Econometrics. He is also a co-author of the textbook Bayesian Econometric Methods (with Joshua Chan, Dale J. Poirier and Gary Koop) and has previously held tenured positions at Iowa State University and the University of California-Irvine.
