CV

Dr. Andy Alexander is a Lecturer in the Quantitative Methods Area of the Daniels School of Business at Purdue University. His research interests include optimization, data science, and sports analytics. He earned his Ph.D. from Purdue University, while his MBA in Entrepreneurship and Information Systems Strategy and his B.S. degrees in Computer Information Systems and Finance are from Indiana University.

After completing his MBA, Andy worked as an I.T. security, audit, and privacy consultant for an international risk management firm, where he specialized in protecting digital assets, identity management, and international data privacy standards in the financial and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to his university position, he is an independent data consultant.

Andy is a four-time winner of the Daniels Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Award. He loves the Chicago Cubs more than is healthy and lives in the greater Indianapolis area with his wife and two small children.
