Chengxi Su
I am a Ph.D. student in Economics at Purdue University. My research interests are in international trade, labor economics, and applied microeconomics. My current research examines how workers bear the costs of trade shocks within employment relationships, focusing on unpaid wages and other unmet employment obligations in China. I combine court records with firm-level and trade data to study aspects of labor-market adjustment that conventional employment and earnings measures may miss. In a separate line of work, I study whether origin-specific patterns of specialization in criminal activity are replicated across destinations.
