Sandip did his Undergraduate and Master's in Mathematics and Scientific Computing at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India. Sandip also worked as a Research Associate at the Indian School of Business (ISB), India. His research is grounded in behavioral information economics, examining how the heterogeneity of the information receivers — including behavioral biases such as overconfidence and their information processing capabilities — shapes how managers interpret and act on available information. He studies the strategic implications of information disclosure and signaling, with a focus on how receiver heterogeneity generates consequential differences in outcomes across corporate strategy, technology contracting, knowledge search, and innovation. His work has appeared in leading journals, including Organization Science and Strategy Science, with additional work currently under review at reputed outlets.
