Matthew William Shurman
As a second-year Ph.D. student in Organizational Behavior, my research revolves around trying to understand the mysteries of people’s rich social environments. Focusing on work with complex social emotions and various types of social interactions, I utilize a quantitative approach to understand how different people react to social phenomena and how people can react differently on a day-to-day basis.
Before joining the Ph.D. program, I graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Psychological Sciences. I then spent a year working as a research assistant, which served as an invaluable introduction to the world of research and preparation for my studies to come.
