Formerly a Content Specialist on the Marketing & Communications team at the Mitch Daniels School of Business, Maria Weir is now a part-time writing/editing consultant supporting the team. She writes and edits compelling copy that communicates the Daniels School's brand voice and distills research concepts into thought-leadership and feature articles for Daniels Insights, the Purdue Business Journal, and blogs. Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Purdue University's School of Liberal Arts and an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction from Chatham University.
Maria is a member of the Freelance Editors Association. She co-presented on mentoring emerging writers at the 2024 ACES Society for Editors Conference. Additionally, she co-presented with Shannon Hess "From Zero to Published" on starting a blog in record time at the 2025 CASE District V Conference.
