CV

Albee Hu is a PhD candidate in Strategic Management at Purdue University’s Daniels School of Business. Her research interests reside at the intersection of entrepreneurship and cooperative strategy, with a focus on multiparty alliances and entrepreneurial finance, such as venture capital syndicates. She studies how interorganizational relationships shape the development and outcomes of entrepreneurial firms. Her current research study how changes in syndicate membership, network structure, and governance influence venture funding and exit outcomes. Her research utilizes large-scale panel data and draws on causal inference methods and machine learning to study strategic decision-making and entrepreneurial outcomes.

Before pursuing her PhD, she worked in consulting and later as an entrepreneur in the education services industry. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, her Master of Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis, and her Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University.
