Crenel Francis Jr. is the Associate Director of Diversity Initiatives, working with the Business Opportunity Program (BOP) at the Mitch Daniels School of Business. Crenel is from Gainesville, FL, and received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from Florida A&M University. Shortly after graduating, Crenel came to Purdue in 2020 to pursue his Master's in Agricultural Education. Crenel started his professional career as a program coordinator with the College of Agriculture in 2022 after completing his graduate program. He led one of the top agricultural high school enrichment camps, the Purdue Agribusiness Science Academy. Crenel’s higher education experiences have led him to be involved in orientation programs, university housing, and student organization advisory roles both as a student and a professional, which has helped him mentor students in their academic and professional careers.

Crenel's organizational involvement includes Phi Beta Sigma, Inc., Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS), and Toastmasters International. Crenel enjoys traveling, hanging with friends and family, and exercising.
