  • MGMT 29120 - (Fall)

IBE Seminar #2 aims to build or improve your understanding of MS Excel as a tool in the business environment to present data for decision-making and provide a foundation that encourages more advanced exploration of Excel as a tool in higher-level courses; such as Business Statistics (MGMT 30500), Introduction to Statistics (STAT 35000), Management Science (MGMT 30600), Spreadsheet Modeling (MGMT 47200), and other courses involving advanced analytics. You will be asked to display skills learned in the course by presenting Excel data to actual or mock company leadership at the end of the course. In addition to Excel, we will pause at times to explore multidisciplinary facets of the intended IBE experience. We have scheduled an “IBE + Industrial Design (ID) Innovation Hackathon” with Professor, TJ Kim from Industrial Design and Innovation, College of Liberal Arts (see Course Schedule below for details). We will also explore business topics with real-world examples bringing lessons learned for future applications, a valuable resource that allows for a pause from the standardized course content.
