Our students' future career goals and aspirations are in the forefront of everything we do. Professional development begins on day one. In addition to the theories and skills taught in the classroom, Daniels School Master of Business students are learning communication, leadership and professionalism through a variety of experiential engagements.
The Daniels School's career services office is the ultimate resource for job-seeking students in management and related fields. Our mission is to cultivate skills and strategies that support students' professional growth by developing personalized career planning frameworks, providing campus and corporate research tools, and identifying areas for bolstering leadership, networking and functional skill sets.
The Daniels School of Business boasts more than 1,000 alumni-student connections (2023). Our dedicated External Relations and Alumni Engagement team works hard to strengthen relationships with the business school’s 40,000+ alumni network — within the larger 600,000+ Purdue University alumni network.
We organize trips to major metropolitan areas with the goal of exposing students to the various concentrations within relevant fields and connecting them to industry leaders through corporate office and alumni visits. Our school goes beyond the classroom with Experiential Learning courses, in which Master of Business students consult on company sponsored projects.
"The One-Year MBA, while somewhat arduous with 44 credits in about 11 months, is quite possibly the most efficient way to obtain an MBA and minimize the amount of time away from the workforce. I was fortunate to be selected by the Coast Guard for this advanced education program."
Zachary McCune, MBA '23
MH-65 Systems Manager, Office of Aeronautical Engineering , U.S. Coast Guard
Our Center for Business Communication provides transformative case competition experiences and workshops for students. A case competition is an academic competition in which students come together to solve a case, or issue. Using teamwork, critical thinking and organizational skills, teams present their recommendation to judges or company sponsors. Students gain valuable experience and make important industry connections — and top teams win money!
The business school's Krannert Graduate Institute honors original school benefactors Herman and Ellnora Krannert both in name and in a steadfast dedication to providing an immersive educational experience. To complement classroom learning, we offer many co-curricular opportunities that promote social and professional networking. Check out upcoming Krannert Graduate Institute events.

Purdue students create and engage in university-wide clubs rallied around many diverse interests such as advocacy and support, athletics and recreation, community service and engagement, ethnic and cultural, female identity-based, international, military, political, religious, social and many more!
Travel to Gettysburg, PA, for an immersive experience with the Lincoln Leadership Institute. Select Daniels School of Business students will explore leadership concepts using incidents from the Battle of Gettysburg.
Participants will leave with a greater understanding of positioning for strategic advantage, engaging followers, identifying and protecting organizational vulnerabilities, managing a professional disagreement and building high performing, high character teams.
This 2-credit hour opportunity is available only in the spring semester.
Travel to Washington, D.C. for intensive education and professional development programs ranging from 1-5 days. Participants will learn from policy and public affairs experts, political and government leaders, and other key players from business, associations, media, think tanks and NGOs.
Students will leave prepared to think and act more strategically regarding government, public affairs and public policy. You'll have a better understanding of how government and public policy affects organizations and industries, as well as individual careers and communities.
This 2-credit hour opportunity is available in the fall, spring and summer semesters.
Students are encouraged to explore the yearly study abroad opportunities available through the university and the Daniels School of Business. Previous trip locations include Europe, South America and Central Asia.
This opportunity is available only in the spring semester.
Aside from the standard track, students can take the work-study track. During the early spring semester of the default standard 12-month track, students can opt to choose the work-study track which will allow them to do a 2 to 6-month internship starting in summer, and if needed, finish the program by returning for one additional semester. This “summer internship” is preferred for those who enter the program with less work experience. Students with work experience may likely find jobs without this internship and can finish the program at the end of summer semester.
The School of Business Graduate Programs Office offers scholarships to participate in study abroad, Gettysburg or Washington D.C. experiences. Scholarships can be applied toward tuition, fees, travel accommodations or other direct costs. These scholarships do not apply to the standard and work-study track experiences. Current students can reach out to MBA-MSHelp@purdue.edu for more information.
