The 36-credit online Master of Business and Technology program leverages Purdue’s strengths in STEM education and research, providing solid business fundamentals to hone professional skills in leadership, change management and project management while equipping graduates to master technical skills and trends. You’ll elevate your strategic decision-making, ethical and regulatory discernment and global business competence.
The online program offers the same rigorous, interdisciplinary curriculum developed and taught by the same world-renowned faculty as the successful residential MBT program on Purdue’s flagship campus. The flexible online modality makes the program readily accessible for working professionals looking to grow their careers without pausing their lives. Students can also elect the Indianapolis Experience area of interest, which incorporates two weekday evening face-to-face meetings in each core course at Purdue’s Indianapolis campus for networking, group work, and project collaboration with faculty and students.
Arvind Raman, Dean of Purdue's College of Engineering, says interdisciplinary programs can sometimes compromise on rigor — not so when it comes to the new MBT program, he says. Hear Raman, Daniels School Dean Jim Bullard, and MBT Academic Director Mohammad Rahman discuss the program's curriculum, which includes a thought-leader speaker series, in this video.
Graduates gain a blend of business acumen and a strong grasp of digital transformation and cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation and data science, positioning them to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness. Core courses for students in the Indianapolis Experience area of interest are the same as those in the fully online program, but shift some online projects and activities into two in-person sessions.
Graduates seeking a shorter pathway may also consider the online graduate certificate in business and technology.
