Our cutting-edge curriculum is designed to encourage individual career growth and complement professional aspirations in the areas of consulting, product development, pricing, launch and data-driven marketing research and UX/UI design.
The Marketing Lab engineers digital experiences that convert, engage, and propel your business forward. We are a full-spectrum digital marketing agency that blends cutting-edge technology, innovative strategy, and deep analytical expertise to help businesses of all sizes unlock their digital potential. Positions offer experience in devising and executing a digital and social media strategy. The work includes helping a team manage social media accounts on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, and possibly Snapchat or other social media channels.
Roles include using analytics and surveys to tell more about the customer base, working with clients to maximize search engine optimization and helping workshop SEO-optimized content, attract and acquire new customers and deepen engagement, along with providing other deliverables. The time commitment is 10-20 hours a week at up to $27/hour.
The benefits include offsetting tuition, working on-campus and building skills.
Though most marketing students complete their MSM in 10 or 18 months, students who’ve completed the summer internship may seek an additional internship opportunity for their fall semester, extending their program to 22 -months and graduating in spring. This co-op opportunity must include the summer internship, an active offer for a fall internship, and approval from ISS for international students.
The 22-month program with summer and fall internships increases the work experience of individuals to help them consistently receive secure, competitive job offers and acquire the leadership and data-driven marketing skills that distinguish them.
To help offset tuition, the MS Marketing program retains a limited number of development opportunities within the Daniels School of Business designed to give students meaningful experience throughout their time in the program. Prospective students are encouraged to inquire about these opportunities during their interview process.
The Chicago Marketing Trip offers MS Marketing students a valuable opportunity to network with industry professionals and alumni in the area. The program covers most of the costs, including hotel, meeting room arrangements, and meals, while students are responsible for transportation to and within Chicago. Students who helped organize the event by coordinating meetings and outreach with alumni and professionals are eligible to participate. The trip aims to foster connections and build relationships that could lead to future collaborations.
In a case competition, students come together to solve a case, or issue, that is presented. Students use teamwork, critical thinking, and organizational skills to deduce a recommendation that they support in a presentation in front of judges or company sponsors. Our Center for Business Communication is your resource for case competitions hosted by the Daniels School of Business.
Designed for graduate marketing or other business students, the Marketing Certificate will help you learn how to make data-driven decisions and understand practical solutions for marketing applications.
MSM students can also take advantage of activities outside of the marketing department. Students are encouraged to engage with the Purdue graduate student population to gain a diverse perspective of business, culture, lifestyles, and more.
