One-Year MBA

Purdue University's One-Year MBA focuses on analytical and quantitative skills. It is designed to help talented individuals with technical backgrounds or those moving into a tech-centric role transition into management and leadership roles. Our MBA students benefit from rigorous curriculum, leadership training, career services and experiential learning opportunities.

The One-Year MBA program offers everything a more traditional, two-year MBA program offers, but in a format that allows you to finish in 11 months.

Choose from two tracks

The program has two tracks, standard and work-study track. The default track is the standard track with expected duration of 12-months. In early spring semester, students can choose the work-study track which will allow them to do a 2 to 6-month internship starting in summer, and if needed, finish the program by returning for one additional semester. This “summer internship” is preferred for those who enter the program with less work experience. Students with work experience may likely find jobs without this internship and can finish the program at the end of summer semester.

Common traits of One-Year MBA students

  • Early to mid-career professionals with backgrounds in STEM fields seeking to leverage their technical skills in managerial roles.
  • Non-STEM professionals aspiring to transition into tech-centric industries or roles that require a robust understanding of technology integration in business disciplines.
  • Recent highly qualified graduates who wish to start their career in a management area.
