This course focuses on understanding competitive forces and how organizations build sustainable competitive advantages through business- and corporate-level strategies, with a particular emphasis on the European and Central European business landscape in comparison to the U.S.. While studying in Prague, students will explore how strategy adapts across borders and industries. The course integrates prior knowledge from functional business areas and introduces new analytical tools to assess and shape strategic decisions. Through the lens of Prague’s dynamic economy and evolving market structures, students will critically evaluate how organizations navigate competition, innovation, and long-term positioning in a global context.
The MGMT 390 cultural competency course is taught by a local professor and will allow students to be fully immersed in a business course with a specific focus on the host city.
Both courses are supplemented with cultural activities, excursions, and company visits.
