At the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business, our Master of Business and Technology (MBT) students benefit from robust academic, personal and professional experiences. Read on to explore all the available co-curricular opportunities that complement classroom learning, provide direct involvement with industry professionals and build your network.

Professional Development & Networking

Our students' future career goals and aspirations are in the forefront of everything we do. Professional development begins on day one. In addition to the theories and skills taught in the classroom, Daniels School MBT students are learning communication, leadership and professionalism through a variety of experiential engagements.

Career Services

The Daniels School's career services office is the ultimate resource for job-seeking students in management and related fields. Our mission is to cultivate skills and strategies that support students' professional growth by developing personalized career planning frameworks, providing campus and corporate research tools, and identifying areas for bolstering leadership, networking and functional skill sets.

Alumni Mentoring

Mentoring

The Daniels School of Business boasts more than 1,000 alumni-student connections (2023). Our dedicated External Relations and Alumni Engagement team works hard to strengthen relationships with the school’s 40,000+ alumni network — within the larger 600,000+ Purdue University alumni network.

Corporate Networking

Networking

We organize trips to major metropolitan areas with the goal of exposing students to the various concentrations within relevant fields and connecting them to industry leaders through corporate office and alumni visits. Our school goes beyond the classroom with Experiential Learning courses, in which graduate students consult on company sponsored projects.

Case Competitions

Case Competitions

Our Center for Business Communication provides transformative case competition experiences and workshops for students. A case competition is an academic competition in which students come together to solve a case, or issue. Using teamwork, critical thinking and organizational skills, teams present their recommendation to judges or company sponsors. Students gain valuable experience and make important industry connections — and top teams win money!

Engagement Opportunities

Socials

The business school's Krannert Graduate Institute honors original school benefactors Herman and Ellnora Krannert both in name and in a steadfast dedication to providing an immersive educational experience. To complement classroom learning, we offer many co-curricular opportunities that promote social and professional networking. Check out upcoming Krannert Graduate Institute events
