In this course, students explore the forces that shape prices, markets, and everyday economic decisions while using Berlin as a living laboratory for microeconomic analysis. We’ll examine how consumers and businesses respond to incentives, how competition and regulation shape markets, and how resources are allocated in different economic environments.
Through experiences in Berlin, students will explore how Germany’s economy and European markets compare with those at home. This will be accomplished by analyzing local businesses, observing consumer behavior, and exploring the economic forces behind Berlin’s dynamic urban landscape.
