Become a sponsor HR Case Competition

The Mitch Daniels School of Business and the Purdue student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will bring undergraduate and graduate student teams to West Lafayette this fall, giving you the opportunity for access to the best and brightest HR talent.

Festivities begin on November 12 with the “national championship” of HR case competitions.

This year’s competition, the 16th annual, promises to be even bigger. Your sponsorship of the case competition or awards dinner provides direct access to students from top HR programs, as well as a resume booklet that includes all participating students.

The following day, in partnership with Purdue’s Center for Working Well and HR Indiana SHRM, the Daniels School will host an HR conference. It offers leadership learning opportunities and is targeted at both students — including those participating in the case competition — and HR professionals. CEUs are offered for the conference.

This year’s competition will include an AI usage component, reflecting the growing role of AI in HR work. Teams will be expected to thoughtfully incorporate AI tools into their analysis and recommendations and to communicate how AI informed their approach.

Case sponsors will have the opportunity to provide input into how this component is emphasized. They’ll also get firsthand visibility into how emerging HR talent is thinking about AI, including how different groups use AI to solve the same HR problem. This new component adds tremendous value to sponsorships, contributing directly to ongoing discussion about AI for HR.
