This course provides an understanding of the issues involved in designing and managing manufacturing and service systems. Topics include manufacturing strategy, quality management, inventory systems, aggregate planning, just-in-time manufacturing, and operations scheduling. Case studies, on-site visits, and articles integrate these topics and highlight managerial implications.
The MGMT 390 cultural competency course is taught by a local professor and will allow students to be fully immersed in a business course with a specific focus on the host city.
Both courses are supplemented with cultural activities, excursions, and company visits.
