Attend Career Connects

Your organization can send representatives to campus to engage with students in a more informal setting during one of our Career Connects. These themed events are free for employers to attend and include a time of open networking between organizations, students, and alumni who have shared interest or involvement in the industry area. See a list of upcoming Career Connect events below. Companies can register on Handshake.

A Networking Event to Bridge Business and Technology

Reserve Space to Recruit on Campus

Outside of Networking Nights and Career Fairs, Business Career Services provides several ways for employers to engage with students from the Daniels School of Business. If you have a more personalized event in mind, please connect with our Employer & Alumni Engagement Team above.

Employers are able to reserve a conference room or the 3rd floor atrium space (RAWLS 3011) to meet with students. If your organization would like to host a coffee hour or office hours to engage with students in small groups or one-on-one, you may submit a request via Handshake by following the steps below. There is no charge to reserve, but employers are responsible for any food or refreshment costs. Please request at least 2 weeks in advance so we have time to secure space.

  1. Log in to Handshake 
  2. Navigate to the “Events” tab under “Meet” 
  3. Select “Request Event” 
  4. Fill out the “Create a New Event” form 
    • Specify the event name
    • Specify start and end date and location
    • Select an appropriate contact who should accept messages from students regarding the event 
    • Select Purdue University – Daniels School of Business as hosting school 
    • Write an event description and any other important information that students should know  
  5. Click “Save” 
  6. Your request will be reviewed in 2-3 days and a confirmation email will be sent to you once confirmed.

Interested in hosting on-campus interviews or using Handshake to build your virtual interview schedule? A current job posted to Handshake is needed in order to request an interview schedule in Handshake. Give our staff 2-3 days to approve your request and secure your interview space. 

Virtual Interviews: You are welcome to use Handshake to help build your schedule for virtual interviews. After making an interview request, let us know you intend to use the schedule for virtual interviews by emailing Breanna Hainje at benn@purdue.edu. You will be asked to inform students that their interview is virtual and provide them a meeting link. 

Follow the steps below to request an interview schedule via Handshake:

  1. Log in to Handshake  
  2. Navigate to the “Interviews” tab under “Meet” 
  3. Select “request interview schedule” 
  4. Fill out required fields under “Basics” 
  5. Toggle to “Timeline” or hit next 
    • Choose interview date 
    • Select number of rooms needed 
    • Choose preferred timeline 
      • Room only (build your own interview schedule) 
      • Preselect schedule  
    • Select interview slot template 
  6. Toggle to “Jobs” or hit next 
    • Attach jobs or create a new job 
  7. Verify details 
  8. Select “request” 
  9. Manage your interview schedule(s) using the “Manage” tab on the “Interviews” home screen.

Recruiters interested in hosting a company information session are welcome to submit a request on the Events tab in Handshake. 

In-person: You can create an event and submit a request via Handshake. Be sure to mark that it is in-person. We will review the request and reserve a room for your event. This will be promoted to students via Handshake.  

Virtual: You can create a virtual event request for an information session in Handshake. You will need to include a meeting link when submitting your request. This will be promoted to students via Handshake. 

Students have expressed interest in the following topics: Career growth and opportunities, company culture, inside the industry, engaging with alumni at your company, engaging 1:1 with a company rep, and hearing company insights from company leaders.

Present on an industry-related topic or teach a relevant skill related to your company where you can also highlight the benefits of working for your organization and any job opportunities. You can create an event and submit a request via Handshake. We will review the request and reserve a room for your event.

Tabling space next to the Krannert Drawing room (first floor by the entrance) can be reserved by employers from 9am-12pm or from 12pm-3pm. Follow the steps to submit a request for tabling on campus via Handshake. Please request an interview schedule at least 2 weeks in advance.


  1. Log in to Handshake
  2. Navigate to the “Events” tab under “Meet” 
  3. Select “Create Event” 
  4. Fill out the “Create a new event” form 
    • Specify the event name (example: [Company Name] Meet & Greet, [Company Name] Tabling at Krannert, [Company Name] Networking Table at Krannert) 
    • Specify start and end date for tabling event. Standard timeframes are 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST 
    • Select an appropriate contact who should accept messages from students regarding the event 
    • Select Purdue University – Daniels School of Business as hosting school 
    • Write an event description and any other important information that students should know 
  5. Click “Save”
  6. Your request will be reviewed in 2-3 days and a confirmation email will be sent to you once confirmed.
