MS Accounting Pathway Program

For Purdue undergraduates interested in pursuing a career in accounting, the Master of Science in Accounting Pathway Program offers an optimal route to completing the 150 hours of college credit work required to sit for the CPA exam. With conditional admission starting as early as sophomore year, eligible students can streamline their undergraduate experience and transition seamlessly into a ten-month master's program.

Program Eligibility

  • Be admitted into the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business
  • Declare accounting as your undergraduate major
  • Complete at least thirty (30) credit hours, either through coursework or Advanced Placement credits
  • Complete MGMT 20000 (Introductory Accounting), MGMT 20100 (Management Accounting I) and MGMT 35000 (Intermediate Accounting I)

Application Requirements

  • Complete and submit an application, including:
    • Transcripts
    • Statement of purpose
    • Resume
    • Two recommendations (faculty recommendations preferred)

The GMAT is not required for Pathway students. You may submit your application without uploading test scores.

Successful applicants will be allowed to directly matriculate into the MS Accounting program — in either the spring or fall intake — after completing a minimum of 120 undergraduate hours and receiving a baccalaureate degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
