On behalf of the Supply Chain and Operations Management Department of the Daniels School of Business at Purdue University, we are delighted to welcome you to the 2025 Purdue Supply Chain & Operations Management Conference. This year’s conference will be held on the West Lafayette campus Friday, August 22-Sunday, August 24, 2025, and brings together faculty members and doctoral students from institutions around the world. We look forward to welcoming you to Purdue University!

Purpose and Themes

This conference is motivated by two major trends shaping the future of supply chain and operations management research:

  • Technological Evolution: The rapid advancement of technology and the increasing role of data in daily operations are transforming organizations across sectors, driving innovation in data and decision analytics.
  • Global Disruptions: The long-term impacts of the pandemic, climate change, and economic turbulence are reshaping business processes and practices, prompting researchers to rethink modeling and analysis approaches.

Our goal is to bring together leading scholars, emerging researchers, and senior doctoral students to share their latest work, learn from one another, and spark new collaborations. With the diverse expertise of our faculty in the Supply Chain and Operations Management Department and the generous support from the Daniels School of Business, we aim to create a dynamic academic platform that fosters open dialogue and innovation.

Conference Highlights

Who Should Apply?

We invite doctoral students with strong research interests in Operations Management and Operations Research to apply, particularly those eager to present during the dedicated student sessions.

Logistics and Support

  • No Registration Fee: Attendance is free for students.
  • Accommodations: Up to three nights of lodging (August 21–24) plus all meals during the conference.
  • Travel: Attendees are responsible for their own transportation.
  • Commitment: Students receiving sponsored accommodations must attend the full conference (arriving August 21, departing August 24).

Application Guidelines

Interested students should submit the following materials by May 1, 2025:

  • Completed registration form
  • A cover letter detailing your research interests
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • A brief support letter or email from a faculty member (preferably your dissertation advisor)
  • If presenting: Title and abstract (under 200 words), a brief biography (under 150 words), and a professional headshot
  • Any dietary restrictions or accommodation preferences

Selection Process:

To ensure diversity and quality, one to two students will be selected per institution. Students of the same gender may share double rooms (up to two per room). Students preferring independent accommodations may arrange their own lodging at their own expense. Space is limited—early submission is encouraged.

About Supply Chain & Operations Management at Purdue
