Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises Celebrating 35 years of engagement and leveraging of manufacturing locally and globally

Purdue'S Manufacturing CENTER
OUR MISSION

For more than 35 years, DCMME (the Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises) has been the focal point within the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business for promoting education, research, and industrial engagement with those interested in operations management and manufacturing management.

The center accomplishes this through conferences, student competitions, and company projects that create venues for collaboration between firms, students and faculty across the state and around the globe. DCMME bridges industry, students, and faculty.

XMO Forms the Heart of this Transformation

The Dauch Center has partnered with Purdue University in its recent launch of the national eXcellence in Manufacturing and Operations Initiative (XMO). With this partnership and the leadership of Dauch’s Director Dr. Stephan Biller, we are helping Purdue strengthen its position in XMO becoming the leading academic institution for industry and government in manufacturing and operations.

XMO hosted a national summit on November 7th at the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in Washington, D.C. This event brought together industry, government, and academic leaders to discuss building resilient U.S. infrastructure for advanced manufacturing and operations. Topics included remarks from Purdue University President Mung Chiang, Dr. Victoria Coleman, Chief Scientist for the US Air Force, Todd Young, Senator from the State of Indiana and a variety of national education and business leaders.
