Dr. Alok R. Chaturvedi is a Professor in Purdue University's Daniels School of Business and the Department of Computer Sciences (courtesy), and Director of the Institute for Social Empowerment through Entrepreneurship and Knowledge (ISEEK). He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Dr. Chaturvedi's current research program is organized around four interconnected streams unified by the application of non-classical, quantum-inspired formalisms to complex adaptive systems. The first stream centers on the American Life in Realtime (ALiR) platform — a nationally representative longitudinal cohort (N=15,000) linking wearable sensor data, GPS, surveys, and administrative records for equity-focused precision health research, supported by NIH funding. The second develops quantum computing foundations, including Non-Dual Data Theory (NDDT) for quantum optimization and Quantum Decision Theory (QDT) for modeling behavioral anomalies in decentralized financial markets. The third extends his pioneering "Society of Simulation" framework (Winter Simulation Conference, 2006) into a Society of Agents architecture for emergent multi-agent coordination using quantum-inspired information fields. The fourth applies operations management and mechanism design to stablecoin operational resilience. He also serves as CTO of Qu-Life, LLC, advancing quantum digital twin technology in partnership with Noblis, Inc.

Through ISEEK, Dr. Chaturvedi leads social empowerment initiatives including Project Saksham and a collaboration with IIT (BHU) Varanasi on the DAKSH 2.0 platform for technology-enabled entrepreneurship in underserved communities. His most recent book, Dharma of AI: Timeless Wisdom for Digital Ethics, was published by Purdue University Press in 2025.

Dr. Chaturvedi earlier led the development of the Synthetic Environment for Analysis and Simulation (SEAS), which was used extensively by the U.S. Department of Defense for wargaming, planning, and analysis across multiple theaters. He served as technical lead for the Sentient World Simulation for U.S. Joint Forces Command and was founding Director of the Purdue Homeland Security Institute. SEAS received the NTSA award for best simulation for analysis in the Department of Defense (2005) and was featured in an NSF report as a success story for transitioning fundamental research to operational use.

Dr. Chaturvedi is a recipient of the NTSA Lifetime Achievement Award (2024), the Sagamore of the Wabash — Indiana's highest civilian honor — and was named to the Federal 100 by Federal Computer Weekly. He has served on the G20 Task Force on Global Governance and has briefed the White House Council of Economic Advisors, the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and the Secretary of the Navy's Strategic Studies Group.
