The Vernon Smith Experimental Economics Laboratory has two rooms: an 858 square foot lab for data collection (room KRAN 701), and a 318 square foot, elevated observation deck (KRAN 713) where researchers can observe experimental sessions behind one-way glass.
The data collection lab has 30 HP computers running Windows 10. Each computer has an Intel Core i7-2600 processor running at 3.40 GHz, 8 GB RAM, and a 20-inch widescreen display. The flat panel displays provide subjects with extensive writing space in their lab "carrel," and the 3M privacy filters also make it very difficult for subjects to view others' displays around the visual partitions.
Directions for experiment participants: Take the elevator to the 7th floor. The VSEEL lab is at the end of the hall on the opposite side of the elevators. As you exit the elevator, take an immediate left and then a right and walk to the very end of the hall. The lab is on your left.
