The Krenicki Center for Business Analytics and Machine Learning and the Daniels School’s Business Partnerships Office have big plans for the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) 2025 Analytics Conference.
Leading analytics professionals, industry experts and students will gather in Indianapolis in April to discover new solutions to business problems, network to advance their careers, and recognize individual and team efforts within the field with the most prestigious awards in analytics and operations research.
Given the annual conference’s proximity to Purdue, several events are in the works to leverage alumni, partner and student participation, including a networking cocktail hour and “An Evening with the Krenicki Center” that will feature a panel discussion highlighting key collaborations, successes and industry insights. Students will also take part in the INFORMS poster competition.
According to Liz Jackson, managing director of the Krenicki Center, industry attendees will benefit from professional networking, access to talent and opportunities for meaningful engagement. For students, it’s a chance to highlight and leverage their work with the center, improve their networking skills and make valuable connections with industry professionals.
“Our goal is to highlight the skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities of students,” she says. “We want to facilitate meaningful interactions between students and industry professionals, leading to potential consulting projects and job opportunities.”
The Krenicki Center also wants to raise awareness of its mission and showcase its consulting and research opportunities. “This is a great chance to deepen our relationships with advisory board members, current partners, and new potential collaborators by actively involving them in the event as panelists and mentors,” Jackson says.
