Building a School Fit for the Leaders of Tomorrow Purdue’s School of Business to break ground on what will become an iconic building that fits the school’s core mission

The Mitch Daniels School of Business will seamlessly integrate technology and business education within the walls of the school’s new 164,000 square-foot building, taking shape now on the West Lafayette campus at the corner of Mitch Daniels Blvd. and Sheetz Street.

An April 2025 groundbreaking celebration is planned for the student-centered building, which will become the second largest classroom building on Purdue’s campus when its doors open in fall 2027.

The building is not just a physical space. It is a platform for future business leaders to dream bigger, innovate boldly, and impact the world. Daniels School faculty and staff are focused on transformational student experiences, academic prowess, the integration of STEM and business, and industry partnerships. The new building will provide a place for these pillars to flourish. Its project rooms, labs, study and breakout spaces, corporate engagement offices, outdoor terrace and auditorium, multipurpose rooms and open spaces are geared toward collaboration and active learning.

“Our new building makes a bold statement about who we are and where we want to go,” says Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean of the Mitch Daniels School of Business Jim Bullard.

Explore floor plans for each level — basement to the fifth floor — and take a virtual tour of the planned building.

“I am particularly excited about the innovation lab, where students can engage in hands-on activities and use new technologies to develop novel solutions,” says Dilip Chhajed, associate director for master’s and online programs and executive director of the Integrated Business and Engineering undergraduate program. “This will make them more tech-savvy, proficient problem solvers, and ready to lead tomorrow’s technology-dominated industries.”
