Purdue students' work to help town prompts gift from Thailand
Purdue President Mitch Daniels and dozens of Krannert students involved in a multi-year project to help a community in Thailand accepted the gift of an intricate work of art in April in recognition of their efforts to preserve the woodcarving heritage of Baan Tawai. Krannert Executive Education Programs offers excellent professional development opportunities in 2015 including the Applied Management Principles (AMP) program, June 1-12, and the Technical Management Institute (TMI), October 13-16. Personnel directors, supervisors and all business professionals in leadership positions benefit from the AMP program’s refresh of their management skills. TMI is geared toward new and aspiring managers of a technical workforce and is offered in collaboration with the Purdue’s College of Engineering. More
Krannert alumnus named CFO for Purdue Research Foundation
Brian E. Edelman was named Purdue Research Foundation's chief financial officer and treasurer in March. He has more than 30 years of leadership and finance expertise, most recently serving as the vice president of corporate finance and investment banking at Eli Lilly and Co. He earned a bachelor's degree from Wabash College and an MBA from the Krannert School. More
Accounting graduates tally top scores
According to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a total of 91,384 people took the Uniform CPA Examination in 2014. Only 60 of them scored an average of better than 95.5 on all four sections, and two of the 60 are Krannert graduates — Michael Kovacich and Nathan Lyons, earning them the prestigious Elijah Watt Sells Award. Economics grad appointed director of Congressional Budget Office
Keith Hall was appointed director of the Congressional Budget Office effective April 1. Hall earned both a master's degree and doctorate in economics from Purdue's Krannert School and has served in various governmental advisory and analytical roles, most recently as chief economist at the International Trade Commission. More
