A TP3 strategy Smart Manufacturing: The New Normal

Process is the way work gets done in business and especially in a manufacturing factory. Each process in a factory has a defined starting point and a defined ending point with multiple steps in the middle that are performed by humans, machines or in most cases a combination of humans and machines. As manufacturers move into the new normal, it will be more important than ever to make processes not only more efficient by reducing waste, but to also seek ways to reduce the risk of infection spreading across the factory.

Below are a key ideas to improve processes for the New Normal:

Use VSMI to identify and mitigate infection risks

Practice 5 S plus 6th S for Safety to maintain a clean and safe workplace

Implement Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to increase equipment efficiency

Implement IIoT sensors to upgrade maintenance to a Predictive Maintenance Model
