Data Mining - MGMT 473
Data mining, business analytics, and data science are becoming increasingly valuable skills to have among new graduates as companies seek to fill their talent gap in transforming data into useful knowledge. Many multinational companies are now faced with additional legal constraints in how they collect, store, and analyze data strategically (e.g. Europe's General Data Protection Regulation). This international experience will allow you to gain perspective on business analytics and data science at the global level.
During the first two weeks of this course in Paris, France, you will learn popular machine learning methods and software tools to turn data into action, while following a structured process focused on supporting the business problem at hand. Your last week in Amsterdam, Netherlands, you will work on a problem provided by a company located there. You will form teams and use the knowledge you have learned to develop and present a solution to the company at the end of the program. The winning team will be provided an award.
