You will learn to hone your presentation skills by going deeper than filler words and fidgeting. Starting with a safe space to practice foundational communication principles, you will leave the course with a renewed sense of confidence in your abilities to lead as an effective communicator. This course will allow participants to develop and enhance their interpersonal communication to manage team dynamics and lead masterfully.
This new hybrid course is for professionals in any industry looking to improve their communication skills across a variety of audiences. Through hands-on practice and deep listening, this program will strengthen your credibility and help you grow as a skilled leader who can communicate with clients, colleagues, board members, shareholders and more.
Along with the virtual component of the course, you will have the opportunity to come to the West Lafayette campus and participate in the final portion of this course which includes lectures and face time with your instructors.
Furthermore, Daniels Online Programs is excited to offer students a full campus experience that will include peer networking and connection opportunities, tours of Mackey Arena and Rohrman Field, a visit from Purdue Pete, a Purdue Traditions excursion, rides on the Boilermaker Special and more!

MGMT 59000 – Executive Prescence: Leadership with Empathy
1 Credit Hour
You will be billed for one credit based on the rate of your primary program.
Students are responsible for booking their own hotel accommodations while attending the mandatory in-person course component. An exclusive block rate of $119/night + fees & taxes is currently being offered to our students at the Holiday Inn Lafayette-City Centre. Students will need to reserve their room for August 8-11, 2024. Room rates will not be discounted or prorated for reservations made outside of this timeframe. Local transportation to campus from this hotel location will be provided by Daniels School of Business & Imperial Travel.
Reserve your room by June 8, 2024 to lock in your exclusive hotel block rate. Students placing their reservation after June 8, 2024 may not receive the exclusive hotel block rate and/or accommodations at the Holiday Inn Lafayette-City Centre.

Mackey Arena/Rohrman Field Tour
Originally named “Purdue Arena,” groundbreaking for the circular concrete and steel Mackey Arena dome structure took place in July of 1965. It was hailed as “the first of its kind among collegiate sports facilities.” Students will be taken on a tour of Mackey Arena and will get the opportunity to walk on to the basketball court floor. Upon exiting Mackey, students will be guided to Ross-Ade Stadium to access Rohrman Field for photo opportunities.

Purdue Traditions Tour
This tour includes stops at various campus locations that may include, but are not limited to:
Buildings mentioned will only be viewed from the outside. The route will take students through many of the great traditions and photo spots on campus. Participants should bring comfortable walking shoes on this 1.5-mile journey around Purdue’s campus. The tour will include a stop at the Discount Den. Located within easy walking distance from campus, the Den has something for everyone: Purdue apparel, snacks, soft drinks, cards, novelty gifts and more. Students will have a moment to shop and get a traditional, refreshing Den Pop. The tour will start and end at RAWLS.
