The Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. Schoool of Business Executive MBA blends online learning with quarterly on-campus residencies to provide you with peer learning and networking opportunites. The 1-2 week residencies improve retainment of core skills and competencies while allowing you to live and work anywhere in the world while pursuing your degree.
Pre-residency: 8-10 weeks (online)
On-campus Residency: 1-2 weeks of classes, company visits, guest speakers, career management and social events (West Lafayette, Indiana or an international location dependent on program choice)
Exam Prep: 1 week (at home)
Exam Period: 9 days (online at home)
Break: 1 week
When students are on campus, they are more removed from their typical daily responsibilities and immerse themselves in the program and their learning. At Purdue, you’ll learn from our award-winning faculty, but more importantly, you’ll learn from your cohort, a diverse group of executives from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. We know that the outside-of-class interaction is just as important as the in-class interaction, so we give our students opportunities to engage in plenty of social activities during the residency, like attending Purdue sporting events, rowing, bowling, yoga and more.
Vish Thottingal, EMBA Class of 2020, shares his experience with our hybrid-learning approach, traveling to Purdue University for a 1-2 week immersion residency just once per quarter.
"I reached a point where I needed to do some big. That's when I thought an MBA degree from a Top-50 college would help. I work from Minnesota, and I have projects across the U.S.
Purdue's EMBA is a program that is truly a hybrid model where you do a pre-residency and then you come to a residency, which really helped me because I'm not committed every week like the conventional executive part-time program. "
