    Michael A. Campion, a professor in the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business, won the 2023 Distinguished Professional Contributions Award given by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). It is a lifetime achievement award for contributions to the improvement of practices in one’s profession.

    Nimisha Prasad received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May 2022, but she’s already begun her studies in Krannert’s MS in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) program thanks to the school’s combined degree offering. “I learned about the 4+1 program as a freshman, so I made sure to keep connected with Krannert and prepare myself for the master’s program from undergrad,” she says. “It’s a great opportunity to earn a second degree in only one extra year of studies.”

    “Transformational leadership — or behaviors that inspire followers to move beyond their own self-interest and work toward the good of the group — often fails to reach the levels needed by subordinates each day,” says Benjamin Dunford, an associate professor of organizational behavior/human resources at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. “Supervisors need regular support to ensure that they consistently display these expected behaviors at work.”
