Prentice is responsible for leading the global commercialization of current and future mealtime insulin brands and Connected Care technology for Lilly Diabetes.  Leading up to this point, Prentice has held a wide range of general management, marketing, market research, sales and teaching roles during his 10 years at Lilly.  He has spent time living outside of the U.S., leading the oncology business division in Canada.  More recently, he was a commercial launch leader for an asset in phase 2 trials.  Prentice’s breadth of therapeutic experience at Lilly spans across the areas of areas of oncology, immunology, neurology and diabetes.

In addition to his role as a global brand leader in diabetes, he is the Chairman of the African American Network, one of the largest employee resource groups at Lilly.  He has played a leadership role in accelerating the diversity and inclusion efforts for the company and in the community.

Prior to Lilly, Prentice received his Bachelors of Science from Purdue University in 2003 and his Masters of Business Administration from the Krannert School of Management in 2009.  During his undergraduate experience, Prentice was captain of the Purdue Track & Field team, multiple Big Ten Champion and Big Ten record holder.  Prior to attending business school, Prentice started his pharmaceutical career in sales with GlaxoSmithKline.  While at GSK, Prentice commercialized products in the areas of cardiology, endocrinology, urology, and neurology.
